Keith Morales

Director, Community & Parent Engagement

Was born to immigrant parents and grew up in East San Jose. At an early age, Keith was inspired by the stories of his parents and grandparents to work in social justice and support the most marginalized communities. His parents made immense sacrifices to ensure he attained an education as the primary means of achieving their vision for a better life for their children and future generations.

Keith graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School where he developed the sense of compassion and responsibility to his loved-ones and the general community. In the mid 90’s, Keith graduated from San Jose State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor in sociology/criminology. Upon graduation, Keith began working with youth and their families involved in Juvenile Probation. Realizing the challenges families faced were rooted in inequities within systems and communities, Keith sought to address the root-cause issues and promote family strengthening. As a result of this shift, Keith established partnerships with local system leaders to establish eleven community-led family resource centers in Monterey and Santa Clara Counties. Since 2016, Keith has worked as Deputy Chief of Family Strengthening & Support at FIRST 5 Santa Clara County and pushed for policy and systems change efforts to expand on the support for the community and ensuring the efforts are led by the community. Today, Keith is working at Go Kids, Inc. and is continuing these efforts in the central coast region (Santa Clara, Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz Counties).

For fun, Keith coaches youth football and mentors youth struggling to find their gifts and talents.
