Health Linkages Project
Funded by The California Health Project and Prop 10
in San Benito County, Go Kids, Inc. participated in
the Health Linkages Project to promote the integration
of health and safety training and increase awareness
of appropriate health care practices in early care and
education programs.
The project is a collaboration
of Go Kids, Inc. 4 C's Resource and Referral, Choices
for Children and The Health Department. Fifteen Health
Coordinators throughout the county were selected to
receive free intensive health training and resources.
Go Kids, Inc. has 4 Coordinators in South County representing
3 centers and our Family Child Care Providers. A Health
Consultant works closely with the Coordinators to provide
support, referrals and training to improve the health
practices at the center-based programs and Family Child
Care Providers. Coordinators are expected to pass along
skills learned at staff meetings and agency in-service
training.
Workforce Investment Act

The Go Kids Resource and Referral office of San Benito
Co. again received a grant from San Benito County to
facilitate quality child care services for families
referred by the Community Services and Workforce Development
Department of San Benito.

training budget for the 6 Packard funded Counties (Monterey,
Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda, Kern).
The goal of the project is to transform the perceptions
and attitudes of business, government decision makers
to recognize the economic values of the child care industry
and pave the way for systematic change.

Clara Counties collaborated with the National Economic
Development Law Center resulting in a published Economic
Impact Report for the two counties.

for the coming two years, Go Kids, Inc. continues to
support the LINCC project to assist in updating the
EIR and to research and publish "Financing The
True Cost of Quality Childcare."
